Thank You For Your Feedback – Our Responses To Your Responses

View Blog

First of all, thank you very much to everyone who took the time to answer our survey and help us out. We really appreciate it.

Here are some updates based on your feedback, along with a few screenshots of the new site in progress. Please contact us if you have any questions or additional feedback for us.

We asked: How would you prefer picks from multiple handicappers to be presented?

Answers spanned the options, but the majority of you chose one of the first two:

  • Each handicapper’s picks listed separately
  • Consensus picks when multiple handicappers agree
  • One combined list featuring only the strongest picks
  • Scott’s picks should remain separate
  • I’m not interested in additional handicappers

We have you covered no matter your answer. We’ll have filters on all picks pages so you can easily see only specific cappers, or all of them. All picks will have a confidence rating, so although we’ll still show several picks, it will be clear which ones we’re most confident about on any given day. If you just want Scott’s picks, we’ll offer that too. It won’t be the best value, but it will be available. And if you want to try all the cappers but still focus on Scott, an easy-to-select filter makes that possible.

We asked: Would you be interested in daily player prop picks?

“Probably” and “yes” were the majority, though we also saw some maybes and nos.

Good news: we’ll have a hide props checkbox, and we’re working on a pricing option that excludes props entirely from your premium picks page. As for which sports, the answers mirrored the popularity of sports in general, which was no surprise. For those who want props, we’ll have them daily for every sport.

We asked: When would you like to see picks posted?

This was two questions, one for the NFL and one for college football. As we suspected, there was no consensus, though Thursday and Friday were more popular than most other options.

We’ve been looking for the best solution to this since we launched the site in 1999. Bottom line, there is no good answer. Post too soon and we might miss injury updates and weather impacts. Post too late and we lose the interest of many of you who want picks a few days early. Posting early and updating as we go would make the transparency we’re so proud of harder to keep up without some added technical work. We’ll keep working on the best option for everyone.

We asked: How many recommended picks would you ideally like to see each day?

Shockingly, not a single one of you answered “No preference.” The good news is that no matter your answer, we think we have a solution that works for you.

If you want more picks, you’ll get a lot more on the new version of the site, since we’ll have multiple handicappers. Every pick also gets a confidence score from the capper, so if you only want the strongest picks, you’ll get just those. And as covered above, when cappers agree, members will see those consensus picks, plus even stronger High Confidence Consensus Picks when they happen. You can also filter by strength to make viewing picks even easier.

We asked: Which potential features would be most valuable to you?

By far the most popular answer was Consensus Picks, and we’ve got you. They won’t happen every day, but when they do, members will see them.

Next was More From More Handicappers. Great news: that’s the main driving force behind the site. We have 14 handicappers across all sports, and some of them cover multiple sports.

Other popular answers included prop picks, confidence ratings, detailed analysis and performance tracking. The new site will have all of it.

Thanks again for all your feedback! We look forward to the new ScottsPicks.com launching soon. Make sure you’re on our newsletter so you don’t miss announcements and potential discount codes to help us launch.

Scott

  1. Nice feedback. It is rare that a person/ website listens and makes changes from feedback. As an analytical person, I like to see a reasoning on how a game is capped and where the odds favor the pick. What is your weekly discount package? Lee
