Pre-season NFL football handicapping is an entirely different animal compared to regular season handicapping. There are certainly opportunities to find strong picks in the pre-season when looking at specific coaches, team tendencies and what needs to be accomplished before the season begins. Even with the best analysis and handicapping during the pre-season strong picks should be approached with caution until the games count. There are simply too many unknown factors in the pre-season and teams all use August games differently and they don't always spell out their plans to the public.
