NFL TOP PICKS 13-5 on the season! All 4 Sundays WIN so far!
Week 5 POSTED SOON!
Sunday afternoon of Week 5 kicks off with our game of the week when the Seattle Seahawks travel to Cincinnati to take on the red-hot Bengals. The Seahawks are riding a two-game win streak since Kam Chancellor’s return from a holdout, allowing a mere 5 points and 201 yards per game to their opponents. Seattle will need another solid defensive performance against Andy Dalton and a Bengals offense which finds itself leading the league in total offense after four weeks. Jeremy Hill had a solid bounce-back performance last week in their win at home against the Chiefs, finding the end zone three times on only 9 carries. He may have a tough time continuing his success against a stout Seahawks run defense which has given up only 88.5 yards per game so far.
The undefeated New England Patriots are on the road after their bye and look to continue their winning ways against the battered Dallas Cowboys. Tom Brady and the high-powered offense of the Patriots are the early favorites in the AFC, averaging 359 passing yards and nearly 40 points per game through their first three games. The Cowboys will hope the returns of linebacker Rolando McClain and defensive end Greg Hardy from their respective suspensions bolster their defense, which currently ranks 19th in the league in passing yards (256) and points allowed (25.3) per game.
The week wraps up on Monday with a showdown between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the San Diego Chargers. After watching Michael Vick struggle in his debut as the starting quarterback this week, the Steelers should rely heavily on Le’Veon Bell. Through two games, Bell is averaging 141 yards of total offense per game and will look to take advantage of a porous Chargers run defense which currently ranks 29th in the league at 126.8 yards per game. Philip Rivers and the Chargers offense find themselves ranked 2nd in the league in passing yards per game and welcomes back tight end Antonio Gates from his four-game suspension. This will be the first matchup between these teams since 2012, when Rivers led the Chargers to a 34-24 victory over the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
