QB matchup looks like a push, and Dalton was better at home this season. Texans will continue to use their defense and ground game to control the ball, thus controlling the game. Texans were 11-5 ATS, including covering 7 of 8 as favorites. Home team with the better defense and better ground game - neither by much but add them up and we like the home team as our pick here.

It's tempting to take double digits with such a high powered offense with Detroit. But they are inexperienced and facing a tough environment. We expect the Saints defense to be fired up and keep the Lions from getting started on offense. And although the Saints offense certainly outstanding, the Lions can pressure the QB. Still, Saints at home firing on all cylinders look like the smarter pick.

Steelers attrition a serious concern but we're stunningly unimpressed with the Broncos offense. Not much more impressed by Steelers offense behind hobbling Big Ben and now missing Mendenhall. But, the Steelers D could get points - or at least set them up nicely for points. Slowly but surely Steelers pull away and cover the bigger number.
