NFL Picks Week 3

Chiefs a surprising 2-0 and doing it with defense - Niners found their D last week and should have the ground game to move the ball against KC, lean to SF but really like a low scoring game.

Certainly expect the Vikings to find a higher gear soon - and certainly vs the Lions always a chance to make it happen. But with Jahvid Best emerging as a star against a so far suspect Viking D we'll take the generous points.

Always hesitant to lay such a big number, but last the Packers showed us why it's okay in certain games.

Might actually be more impressed with Atlanta so far this season - their balance is impressive. Saints may play a lot of close games this season, this looks like one of them.

We simply don't trust Vince Young on the road. Giants licking wounds after last week and anxious to show they're better than that they'll key on and stop Johnson - make Young beat them - we don't think he can.

Should be a chance for the Ravens to finally get the offense going and they'll be able to establish the run freeing up Flacco to pass.

This is probably a spot where something has to give and Dallas goes into full desperation mode in a must win. But we can't play against Houston or on Dallas based on the first 2 weeks of the season.

Eagles off to a nice start but not against the stiffest of competition and with the Jags off a bad loss we get very good line value and an over confident Philly team going to the heat and humidity with a poor defense.

Colts ran into a buzz saw in week 1 but showed they are not ready to lay down in 2010. Colts have too many edges as we just aren't too impressed with the consistency of Denver.

A battle of below average teams - we think we see more positive signs in Oakland (although a QB change doesn't scream that). Bottom line is no way we can lay points with Arizona right now, even against Oakland.

Chargers not as bad as week 1 loss to KC, not as good as blow out over Jax. Much the same said for Seattle and we like them back at home.

We haven't been believers in the Jets but they looked very solid last week and considering we don't see much in the Dolphins to love we'll look for the Jets to be at their best as they rally around not having Revis. A training camp holdout gets hurt - go figure??
