Denver Broncos at Carolina Panthers
Panthers D isn't good enough to trust that they can slam the back door on a good Broncos pass D. Panthers let down/flat effort a little too likely as well. Can't lay this many.

San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs
Acknowledge that Chiefs capable of getting blown out in this one but they are playing better and they are at home. Chargers just aren't a very good football team right now and this means much more to KC than SD.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons
Tempted to make Falcons a TOP PICK here but they are still a young team and although better prepared now for the tough TB defense the pressure is mounting on young Young as the season goes well past what he played in college. Buccs desperate to bounce back after getting rolled last week.

Washington Redskins at Cincinnati Bengals
Not impressed all season with Redskins (did we say that last week too...) but might be catching some line value here. Bottom line is that Cinncy has been hit exceptionally hard by injuries and just aren't very good on either side of the ball right now.

Detroit Lions at Indianapolis Colts
Are the Colts clicking at the right time? Mabye so, maybe not - some fundamental problems remain with their offense but they took full advantage of the lowly Bengals last week and look to do the same against the even lowlier Lions.

Green Bay Packers at Jacksonville Jaguars
Both teams winding down disappointing seasons so it's tough to excited about either team. Jags giving up too many sacks and making things tough on Garrard. Packers haven't gotten much pressure on the QB this season but everybody pressuring the Jags. Packers perhaps a bit better than their record and off back-to-back last second losses - so some concerns about mental state. Packers 15-5-1 ATS on the road last 21 games and Jags 0-6 ATS at home this season.
Green Bay Packers -1.5
San Francisco 49ers at Miami Dolphins
Another long, tough trip for the Niners but we like the new attitude and recent play of this team. Miami fading quickly and the pressure is mounting. This one stays close.
San Francisco 49ers +6.5
Seattle Seahawks at St. Louis Rams
Tough to find reasons to trust either team but we like the Rams with Jackson back looking to play for respectability at home. Don't expect a repeat performance from Wallace - even if it is the Seahawks.

Minnesota Vikings at Arizona Cardinals
Another temptation for a TOP PICK here with Arizona. They are clearly the superior team and the Vikings are dealing with distractions of suspensions and fines. But a let down a big concern for Arizona and the Vikings one of the better defenses they've faced. Still, enough edges for Arizona to stick with them as the free pick.

New England Patriots at Oakland Raiders
QB question here - Cassell dealing with the death of his father so as we post on Thursday night his status remains unknown. With Cassell we like the Pats to take full advantage of a bad Raiders teams. If they must turn to O'Connell we like under and wouldn't recommend either team.
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys
Dallas with much more to play for here and although playing Dallas should be enough the Giants may be a bit flat and Dallas is desperate for a win.
