Atlanta downward trend likely to come the second half of the season and we may have seen it start last week. Panthers far superior team here and should be able to move the ball.

Last week a tough week for both teams but our feeling is that the Eagles were simply down and got caught flat while the Ravens exposed. Eagles defense should cause trouble and limit the Ravens offense - look for McNabb and Philly offense to bounce back quickly this week.

San Francisco 49ers at Dallas Cowboys
We've believed all season long that the Cowboys problems ran much deeper than missing Tony Romo and we like what we're seeing from the Niner lately. Line simply too high for Cowboy team perhaps less than focused.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions
Jeff Garcia gets a chance to have a big game here but we've seen too many chinks in the Buccs as a whole and still hard trying Lions team coupled with the loss of Graham for TB makes the home dog the pick.

Minnesota Vikings at Jacksonville Jaguars
If you read our off season preview comments for this game posted here since the summer you saw that we called this a possible sleeper Super Bowl preview. Not sure it's that as the Jags have really gone the right way but the Vikings still hanging around with some potential but still missing the QB. The Jags just have too many injuries to be trusted.

Things just keep getting worse for the Rams and Chicago needs a win.

Broncos perhaps get some confidence back after a win last week and should keep building momentum as they've owned the Raiders in recent years and things really a disaster for that football team.

Two impressive offenses and although the Giants have the edge on D but we expect a high scoring game that comes down to the wire.

Can't trust the Redskins off a tough loss and long road trip. Hassleback still banged up but with a game back under his belt. Another home dog that looks like the pick here.

Another game that isn't the marquee matchup expected early in the season as both teams look to get things turned around and headed in the right direction. The Colts see to be closer to this direction than the Chargers.

Packers have traditionally struggled in domes, have they turned that around?
