Early in the week we had TB targeted as a possible Top Pick and it had become clear Atlanta had nothing left and TB still alive with Garcia due to play. Tampa will be able to run the ball which makes them dangerous. However, mental state of Atlanta has us concerned? Seems most likely scenario is they rise up and play their best game of the year to "stick it" to Petrino by getting a win in his abscense. Problem is, they don't nearly enough talent and they're on the road. Still, the dynamics here are too unpredictable but we can't under estimate the emotional factor helping Atlanta enough to hang in. Too many points to turn down.

For several weeks with the Dolphin schedule softer we've believed Miami would rise up to do anything they could to avoid the winless season and not have they not done so they've gotten hammered by bad teams. Perhaps the bigger factor is not wanting to be the ONLY team Miami beats. Plenty of problems for (including a defense allowing 32 ppg last 6 games) Baltimore but we're tired of thinking Miami will be desperate enough, they're just plain bad.

Rams QB looks to be a game-time decision. Frerotte would go if Bulger can't which isn't a bad option as Jackson is the key to their offense. Packers should have little trouble scoring but with Bulger we'd lean to taking the points, without Bulger returning we might be tempted to lay it with a hot Packers team. Steelers have struggled against the best defenses and the Jags bring impressive balance on offense. This game looks to be a tough physical battle coming down to the wire, take the points as a FG late likely decides it.

Late season game against an inferior opponent often a spot for a let down. But the biggest spread in NFL history tells us perhaps it's unlikely. Why? Undefeated season - and believe me, Belichick wants it!! And oh yes, remember the Pats getting accused of using illegal survelliance? Belichick got fined $500k and the Pats lost a draft pick - remember that? Remember how it started? The Jets turned them in after week 1. Now the Jets take a QB into New England for his 7th career start. This one is going to get ugly. The ONLY reason this is not a TOP PICK is the weather forecast - chance of snow during the game, cold and windy. That makes extending the margin this much potentially more challenging but if the weather doesn't effect the game this one will not even be close.

Colts look to be headed in the right direction once again. Let down and lack luster effort here is a concern but we just haven't seen much of anything to get excited about for the Raiders. Manning should have a big day.

Dallas the better team but they've had to survive wins recently so we hesitate to lay this many but not convinced the Eagles have enough left in the tank to get it done on the road. Dallas needs to play a complete game and recent close calls means they likely do it.

Simply don't trust the Giants at home (don't trust them on the road much either). Washington still alive for a playoff spot and Todd Collins should keep the offense running competently. This one looks like another close one.
