Atlanta at Minnesota
Tough to get excited about either team but ultimately at home the Vikings look like the team that has taken more steps to get better and should have the better run game by a rather wide margin.

Carolina at St. Louis
We like the Panthers this season, a team nobody is talking about after everybody seemed to be talking about them last season but an injury plagued season and they are forgotten. They have plenty of weapons and are healthy. Rams D should be better but still enough question marks to have us concerned.

Denver at Buffalo
Impressed with Denver defenses potential, but a new scheme in place could have them off to a slow start. Cutler making just his 6th ever NFL start and Losman gained a lot of experience last season. Bills could be a bit of surprise team and may open some eyes with an early win here behind superstar rookie Lynch.
Buffalo Bills +3
Kansas City at Houston
Not impressed with Houston, but I do like Matt Schaub as the future for this team. Play here is against a KC team with a lot of problems starting up front, the offensive line will struggle, Damon Huard is a journeyman QB at best, LJ will find yards tough to come by and the Chiefs best defensive player, Jared Allen is suspended for the first 2 games.
Houston Texans -3
KC/Houston UNDER 38

Miami at Washington
Best recommendation here, stay away and find a better game to watch. Until we see something, anything from either team must look to take the points. Redskins D should be better but the Dolphins D is known commodity and can play. Questions about the Miami offense, but just as many with Washington.

Philadelphia at Green Bay
Packers could be another surprise team, they got steadily better last season and the Eagles have been known to get off to slow starts. Eagles are a top NFC team, but in a tough first road game the home dog and Favre is too attractive to turn down.

Pittsburgh at Cleveland
Big tech edge to Pitts who are 6-0-1 ATS in the last 7 between these two teams. But the Browns have made improvements and it's possible that Pittsburgh lacks some intensity to start at Cleveland after trouncing them last season. Not sure they pull the upset and it's admittedly one of the days weaker plays but take the points here.

Tennessee at Jacksonville

Chicago at San Diego
For two teams that accomplished so much last season, uncertaintity surrounds both starting '07, but we look for the Bears to take a big fall this season and it starts with a beating at the hands of San Diego, perhaps the most talented team in the AFC (behind New England).
San Diego Chargers -6
Detroit at Oakland
At least it should be an even matchup - thank goodness it's not the only game on TV however. The Lions have some talent at key spots, but it may all fall apart with Kitna running the ship. Raiders defense should give them enough of an edge to get the win and perhaps led by Dante Culpepper the offense may have some life.

N.Y. Giants at Dallas
We have little faith that the Giants will accomplish much this season without Tiki Barber, who was their offense last season. But not much more faith in Dallas behind young QB Tony Romo, still with plenty to prove. NYG 5-0-1 ATS last six versus Dallas. Expect this one to be close and take the points.
