We don't believe the running game will open up enough time for
Vick and the ends for Carolina can give Vick at least a good race and
force him wide a little sooner than he'd like. Panthers have a
healthy stud running back and a solid back up ready to take the league
by storm according to our friends at FantasyDraftEdge.com and with Delhomme
looking for Steve Smith when play action has frozen the DBs the Panthers
will have little trouble scoring. |

Baltimore at Tampa Bay |

Two teams on the rise both looking
to make an early statement with strong defense and hopefully an improving
offense. One of the tougher games of the week, best move is to
stick with the total or one of our other five TOP
PICKS but we will
take the points as we see this one coming down to a FG. |

Don't like to lay this many points
very often in the NFL, particularly so in week of the season. But
the Pats are out to prove they are still the team to beat in the AFC. Healthy
on D unlike last year and plenty of weapons on offense led by Brady
it may very well be the case. Not sure Buffalo found enough answers
on D and are quite certain they have no passing game. McGahee
is solid but not enough. Could be a blow out but we at least
see the Pats adding enough late to get the cover. |

The Chiefs D will be better, and at
home were actually decent last year against the run - but it's the
pass they have to worry about. And with Carson Palmer looking
very good back from injury this could be a problem. But with
Surtain one on side and Ty Law now on the other and a focus on the
KC offense to control the ball more to keep the defense off the field
we see KC getting this tough win at home to start '06. |

Nobody really talking about the Jaguars
but this team may quietly surprise this season as they have plenty
of talent on both sides of the ball. Dallas will be tough this
season but until Owens has had some time to work with Bledsoe we question
if he'll be helpful or hurtful to this offense. A solid ground
game for Dallas makes them tempting but we prefer the home team at
the end in this close game. |
