Strange playoff season. Normally the 2nd week looks to be a rested home team blowout fest. We could see that again but we see too many flaws in the top seeds to necessarily expect this in '07 - let's take a quick look at the teams who rested last week and are favored to move on with home games.

Chicago - Their D has not been great down the stretch, and Grossman has been terrible the 2nd half of the season.
New Orleans - The Saints the #2 seed in the NFC? Their D has question marks and they rely very heavily on a rookie to get them yards and points.

San Diego - Marty Ball seems gone, but will it return in the playoffs and cost him again? Their QB is in his first season and the D has been very vulnerable at times.
Baltimore - They have little to no offense.

Of course no team is perfect but it seems the flaws at the top are a bit more pronounced this season. The question, do the even more flawed teams who won last week have enough?

Not sure we expect the Colts D to be what it was last week, but a look at the Ravens offense has us convinced to play 'under'

Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans Saints

Respect the Saints and absolutely don't under estimate the power of the Saints home crowd. But the Eagles D looks better and we see both offenses as pretty equally - both have big play potential and nice balance. Saints at home could have the power to get a win, but looks to be a battle to the end.

New England Patriots at San Diego Chargers

Would like to believe Marty has changed his spots but we'd prefer to see before we bet on it. Certainly the edges are there for SD but too often their D was vulnerable and the schedule was rather soft. Pats rarely looked great, but the experience edge here in undeniable and SD not exactly the toughest place in the NFL to play on the road. Brady plus points in the playoffs is too tough to turn down. The side here looks very solid but the smart money play is on the total with our TOP PICKS!
