D Kyle Orton has faced - and he's got to do it on the road. Much
the same can be said for shaky at times Simms, but he is at home and
his best weapon Cadillac Williams in the backfield again! Advantage
home team in the battle of young QBs facing top defenses. |

Not sold on some recent improvements
by both teams. Browns strong committment to a solid running game
looking to pay some dividends. Vikings seem to be putting things
together, but this is the best D the Brad Johnson led offense has faced. Tough
spot to trust either team too much, but with the Browns running game
and their defense they can give the Vikings a test. |

Patriots D not stopping anybody consistently,
KC D not stopping anybody through the air. Look for both QB's
to have big games. But big edge goes to KC at home who behind
Larry Johnson have the far superior running game and the offensive
game plan for KC adjusting very nicely to his style and abilities. |

With Gates looking like a game-time
decision it's tough to get too excited about the Chargers winning a
game on another long road trip against a quality defense and ball control
offense. But, the Chargers offense is better and with LT they
remain dangerous. If Gates goes, we really like the Chargers
here, if he can't go we'd still have to favor SD but just barely. |

money on either of these teams. Jamie Martin at QB makes it tough
to get too excited about the inconsistent Rams, but impossible to get
behind Houston for any less than a TD on your side. Stick with
the lesser of two evils in this one.

Jags offense should look good against
this defense, most teams have. Cardinals offense finding their
way a bit with Boldin healthy and Warner gaining some confidence. Still
don't believe the Cardinals are capable of beating the better teams
in the league, the total probably the smarter bet in this game anyway. |

Dolphins believe they are improving,
and perhaps they are - but not seeing it in the win column. Can't
play Miami on the road especially as it seems the Raiders may finally
be gelling on offense. |

There aren't too many teams in the
league we'd even be thinking about playing Philly against this week. This
is one of them however. Philly perhaps had some closure with
T.O. out of the way. But with McNabb now officially done for
the year we have to worry that the Eagles will simply "pack it in"
- so we the effort we'll get from Philly concerns us. But Favre
is simply trying to do everything himself and is making far too many
mistakes. Eagles D aggressive and quick. McMahon should
be a little more comfortable with a game behind him. |

N.Y. Giants at Seattle, 4:15 p.m. |

Giants keep winning, but the shine
certainly off the early season version of this team that scored at
will and made big plays on special teams and defense. Eli Manning
still young and showing it at times - particularly on the road. With
a better defense we'd love the impressive Seahawk offense at home in
this one, but Seattle can't stop anybody. Still, don't believe
the Gaints are as good as their record - certainly not lately. |

Best plan for this game, count the

in the day. Very tough to believe either team is worthy of support
here. But, Jets are at home and the Saints have are as bad as they
are this season despite having more talent on the field. If you
must, take the home team. |
