Detroit at Atlanta
The Lions finally won a road game! Can they win 2 in a row to go 2-24 on the road the past 3+ seasons? Probably not. The Falcons are actually playing defense - very good defense. This has served them well as their offense has been inconsistent in transition this season. But the Lions D should give the Falcons a chance to get it going on offense and with seemingly no running game now the Lions will depend to much on Harrington.
Atlanta Falcons -6.5

NY Giants at Dallas
The Cowboys behind Testaverde (who has remained healthy for a record number of games for him I think) have shown some offense. They come in off a bye week and should be rested and ready for this big home game. The problem here is that the Giants seem to have gotten together - but have done so largely at home. Although the confidence is returning for Warner if the Cowboys can get to him he'll make costly mistakes.
Dallas Cowboys -3.5

Minnesota at Houston
Vikings are an amazing 12-3 coming off their bye week - but at the same time they have lost 6 straight road games. Something has to give. The Texans have balance and some playmakers on offense. Something the Vikings matched until losing their top 3 RBs - that's the bad news for Minny - the good news is they still have Culpepper and Moss. But the Vikings haven't done a great job of protecting Culpepper and he's been rushed to throw often this season. Texans, even before vast improvement this season, are tough at home.
Houston Texans +4

Oakland at Indianapolis
First look may indicate a play on the Raiders getting so many points. But Kerry Collins looked much better stepping in 2 weeks ago then he did starting last week and without Wheatley they'll struggle to find balance. Collins lacks confidence right now and the Colts offense seems unstoppable. If Indy stays focused for this game they should have little trouble.
Indianapolis Colts -9

Miami at New England
Absolutely must respect the Dolphins defense here but of course nothing has changed on offense for the Dolphins - they can't score. Focus a concern with Pats but it is the conference rival Dolphins coming to town. New England looked very workman like in surviving last week - but that was on the road. Tempting to take the points but we just can't make any argument that favors the Dolphins scoring at all.
New England Patriots -12.5

Tampa Bay at New Orleans
Seems this is always the question - which Saints team will show up?? And can Simms get the offense turned around? It can't get worse. Normally, we'd never consider a rookie QB in his first start - but again, can it get worse? And Pittman is back. But we can't ignore the simple fact that the Saints are far more talented on offense. Low scoring game should stay close. Although best to pass on this game we'll take the better defense who is desperate for a win and might just get some renewed hope with a QB change.
Tampa Bay Buccs +3.5

Cleveland at Pittsburgh
Suggs return gives the Browns a chance to have some balance - but he may find it tough going on the road against Pittsburgh hungry for a win and should get it at home. Garcia just not the playmaker you need to get road wins. The Steelers have established a solid ground game to take the pressure of Roethlisberger who is getting it done. Browns have looked very bad on the road thus far this season.
Pittsburgh Steelers -6

Buffalo at NY Jets
Bucking our history of playing the dog in AFC East games worked very well last week in our 3-0 TOP PICK performance! So we look to stick with it. Bills D solid, but the Jets have plenty of confidence and remain underrated. Jets have balance on offense and although under powered on D perhaps they have few weapons to stop versus the Bills.
NY Jets -6.5

Jacksonville at San Diego
Chargers gain some confidence with huge win last week. Certainly things will be tough for Tomlinson against this D that is for real. Leftwich very impressive at times and this not the toughest road test in the league but the Jags lack consistency on offense and frankly have won a few games with mirrors. Jags aren't this good, Chargers aren't this bad. Should stay close - as the Jags have done all year, take the points.
San Diego Chargers +3

Carolina at Denver
Bottom line here - not impressed enough with either team to get too excited about in this game - best to stick with our better plays! But with the Broncos ground game not at it's best and Plummer being exposed a bit when forced to be THE offense for the team we must take the points.
Carolina Panthers +5.5

Arizona at San Francisco
What an ugly game this is could be. The 49ers are absolutely terrible. Cardinals are playing better, but basically a pick 'em in SF - hard to believe. But let's face it the Cardinals have lost 15 road games in a row and are last in the league against the run. Rattay has a full game in now and the 49ers have a lot of pride.
San Francisco 49ers -1

Baltimore at Washington
Which bad, dissapointing team, is the better play here? These two look strikingly similiar. But most edges, although slight seem to go to the Redskins. Their D is playing better, their QB has some ability to make plays. Ravens perhaps the better running game - but is Lewis completely focused right now? Ravens struggles due to being over rated whereas the Redskins are making mistakes to lose - eliminate the mistakes at home in this one and they get the win.
Washington Redskins +1.5
