Tempting to take points with the Bears, but too many injuries make this tough to do. Eagles have looked very impressive in each game this year and we don't see any match ups they don't dominate. QB problems in Chicago are significant, now thinner at RB, tough to believe the Eagles don't roll in this one if they stay focused.

Monday night clearly showed some coaching rust for Gibbs - with this looking to be another close game, will that hurt? Brunell not 100% but playing, and playing well at times. Browns seem to be putting some things together. Neither team worth too much support, but in a close game we like the home dog.

Giants and Warner a bit of a grove the past few weeks after horrible pre-season and ugly week 1 - but the stakes are a bit higher here - going into Green Bay against a desperate Packer team. As always, if you can stop Green you can neutralize the Packers - we don't see the Giants be able to stop Green in this one.

Seems it's time to look at the Texans as more than just an expansion team. This team has some talent and balance. We like another home dog here - but REALLY like the total in this one! It's one of 3 TOP PICKS!!

We sold the Jags short last week expecting a reality check as they faced a quality opponent. Looks like we are setting ourselves up for the same mistake this week. We just aren't impressed enough yet with this Jaguar offense to support this team against a high powered offense. Certainly the Colts won't take the Jags for granted after their start.

Battle of some future NFL superstars at QB. Could be fun to watch and a match up we'll see many times in years to come. But, the pressure is greater on the home QB in this situation and despite some tough times in the past 7 games (no covers) we have to play the Bengals here (and the four points of course) with a defensive minded head coach going after a very young QB.

The Saints remain one of the teams we simply don't have a great read on - they have the talent to win a lot of games (they always seem to) and at times look as good as they can be - but at times look just plain lost. The Cardinals are playing tough and the Saints go outdoors to a tough environment for the first time this year. Cardinals are 7-3 the last 10 as a home dog. Take the points.

The Falcons still look to be very much a one man show - but an impressive show it is most of the time. Vick himself can neutralize the Panthers front 4 with his speed and escapability. Panthers will be ready to move the ball on this less than stellar D but we see Vick answering. This game too even to not take the points. The total is down based on Carolina past D (not as good so far this year) and the Falcons last week. Take advantage - look 'over' here as well.

We like the Titans here, with or without Steve McNair. They will certainly be fired up to get back in the win column and Volek has been consistently impressive in relief. In fact, we like the Titans even more if McNair can't go - the number will be down and the Titans players will all step it up while the Chargers will likely take a big sigh of relief and may let down a bit.

Neither team getting much done on offense lately but both staying tough on defense lending us to the under as the smartest play in this game. Must take the desperate home team here, despite some fundemental problems. We just don't see the Broncos with enough running game to be sucessful on the road and you know how we like a home dog.

Niners better than expected to start the season before running into the buzz saw that is the Seattle Seahawks. Expect a strong bounce back for the 49ers who should get better with every game. Meanwhile the Rams still searching for some answers.
