Jags continue to improve as their running game and a healthy Fred Taylor is the reason why - bad news for the Jets who struggle to stop the run. Pennington looking good, but still inconsistent as the Jets continue to search for a ground game. Don't trust the Jets to lay more than a FG.

Have to be impressed by Rattay, but still concerned about the lack of a running game from the Niners. Not convinced Favre should be playing with his thumb still hurting. Impressed with Ravens D - but not even a little impressed with their QB situation. Yes, Seahawks struggle on the road but they have the superior offense and we don't see the Ravens getting too big a lead in this one.

Patriots continue to find ways to win - but the Texans looking like a threat enough times this year to be taken seriously. Patriots may win another one ugly but not likely to open it up too much on the road. Looks like a good spot to take a home dog - they've gone 7-0-1 the last 2 weeks after a slow start.

Rams continue to struggle to cover on the road, covering only one time in last 10 road games as the favorite. Cardinals 2 different teams home and away - ask Green Bay and San Fran about Arizona at home.

Night and Day for Denver with/without Plummer - perhaps attitude has a lot to do with it. Confidence back for Denver they should build on it with another big win. Bears just not doing enough right, even getting this many points.

Big let down spot for the Bengals who we aren't yet ready to trust on the road. Different story for Flutie last week, but again at home the Chargers confidence should be up. Perhaps a good pass, stick with our TOP PICKS, but we'll take the points with the home dog.

Don't think Mirer is the future for the Raiders, but they are playing better. Chiefs will be looking to get back on track but it remains tough to ignore their poor tackling defense. Chiefs get the win, but Raiders playing well enough that taking the points - particularly if current weather forecast (Rain/Snow mix, cold and windy) holds true - is the smart play.

Titans not at their best last week, got away with it (although not covering) perhaps the same this week. But still have to play the Titans behind McNair facing this defense.
