I go back to my theory on AFC East games - they are always close. This will not be an exception. We like the Bills offense and despite the strong Miami D we look for Bledsoe to get some points. The Dolphins without Fiedler will look even more to the run and will have some success. We just don't ever consider the Bills out of a game, take the points.

Rodney Peete is out, Vick remains questionable. With Vick healthy we'll lean toward Atlanta, without Mike Vick Carolina may be the play as they'll make things tough on Atlanta's backup QB. We'll update this game later in the week.

***Update - With Vick going for Atlanta the smart play is Atlanta!

The Lions let one get a way last week but we until the final play of the game we were impressed with Harrington. Can't turn down the points even with the Lions. But the smart money in this game goes to the total.

Two key injuries remain up in the air here, Lewis for Baltimore and Brunell for Jax. We have little faith in the Jags without Brunell. We'll update this later in the week, please check back.

***Update - Lewis, although upgraded to Q is still more likely to sit than to play. Brunell is improving and looks to start, however this is probably a game time decision. But if he plays he's one good hit away from being out again. Simply too many variables here, the best play is to not bet this game.

The Jets looked better as Curtis Martin was healthy going into the bye week and should be at full strength for this one. We liked what we saw from Pennington (yes it was against the Chiefs, but Minn not a lot better) and expect a new focus from the Jets. Tough to recommend New York but tougher to play Minnesota on the road right now.

We're not ready to proclaim the Rams 'back' but against the Seattle defense they may look good again this week. Marshall Faulk should have a huge day and lead the Rams to 2 in a row with some renewed confidence of last weeks surprise win.

The 49ers certainly looking better but the Saints will look to establish themselves as contenders for NFC supremacy in this one. The home dog looks solid.

Simply can't lay this many with the Browns - tough to lay this many with anybody in the NFL this year. Houston still has problems, but the Browns have injury issues on defense and Couch back home is a question mark mentally.

The Raiders will be looking to bounce back after not showing up a week ago in their first lost. The Chargers defense will need to be better against the pass. The Chargers D is too strong to pass up this many points, even with the Raiders.

Can't trust either team to do much in this one so take any points you can get.
