Does the Eagles victory last week in Tampa help them in this game? Probably not. What does help them is that their defense is solid and they have superior talent. McNabb needs to get out of the pocket and take off running when needed - if he does this the Buccs defense will tire and be off their game worrying about McNabb. With Duece Staley being versitale coming out of the backfield the Eagles offense is superior. If you like the cold factor - you may be out of luck because it won't be that cold at Veterans Stadium. The Buccs troubles in cold weather are well documented (0-20 below 40 degrees), but current forecast are calling for right around 44 on Sunday - not bad for January in Philly. The Eagles D will make it a long day for Brad Johnson. The over/under is tough in this one, it has the makings of under but the line is very low. I look for the Eagles D to get some points which leads me to thing over, but if the offenses get nothing more than FG's it's tough to take over. Bottom line here is that both defenses are superior to the offenses, so although I'm not betting myself I'd favor the under.

The total on this game is simply too high as familiarity will keep this game close and field position will be key. Both teams know they must run the football to be sucessful and will work to establish the ground attack and control the ball. Neither are likely to go vertical that often.

Brett Favre and the Packers love Lambeau Field - and why not, their 10-0 in the playoffs there and Favre is 29-0 at home when the tempature is below 34 degrees. But Niners QB played in the CFL and as cold as Green Bay gets it's got nothing on Northern Canada. The key to this game is Brett Favre not making mistakes, he's always had a tendency to force the ball and get into trouble - trouble he usually gets his team out of. I really can't make a solid case for the Packers not to win this game - they are simply too tough at home behind Favre in the playoffs. But will they cover the 3.5? If the line were 2.5 I'd be all over the Packers as a FG victory is not at all unlikely. The 49ers never really beat any good teams this year, they played a soft schedule. However, 2 of quality wins they did get were in the last month beating Miami and Philly. It's really asahme that this is only a wildcard game, these 2 teams are both better than any of the other 6 wildcard teams playing this weekend. Bottom line, simply can't bet against Favre and the Pack at home in the playoffs.

The Ravens rely on their D to win games, and the offense not to lose it. Both teams will struggle to run and look to the air, where they may find some success. It won't be a high scoring shootout, but look for this game to creep over the total as the defenses will either score themselves or set up the offense nicely.
