so I like the dog in what could be a close game. May also see some points
as both teams offenses improving lately.

this becomes a great bet - the line also moves so bet this early and
get the seven. Even if the Dolphins play like this game means something
(if the Pats lose they can win the division) they'll be hard pressed
to cover against an improving Bills team.

a let down after a big win last week beating San Fran. The Lions got
there win and have been bad since (well, good money for us betting against

Bad news for the Falcons - the Rams may still need
a win to wrap up home field advantage. As usual, the only thing that
can beat the Rams is the Rams. If they don't turn the ball over they'll
win this one huge.
***Note if the Bears lose playing an early game the Rams do NOT need to win this game - that makes this a tricky game to play. If the Bears lose I'm not sure I can recommend laying this many points. |

Jacksonville Jaguars (+5.5)(33.5) at Chicago Bears

I'm a little hesitant to lay this many with the Bears,
even at home playing for a division title. But the Jags defense is not
rock solid and should allow Chicago to move the ball. A lot is made
of the Buccs playing cold December games with little success - Soldier
Field in December is a far cry from Florida - even North Florida. The
Bears have more to play for and the defense is strong.

Seattle must win, so Dilfer starting is a good sign - all he does is win. The Seahawks play at the sametime as the Jets and Ravens play Monday Night so they won't know of their fate. But the Chiefs are playing better football lately on offense and the Seattle D is their weakness. I like the points, both plus and total. |

The Panthers will give everything they've got and have thrown a good scare into some teams this year. But the Patriots have too much to play for to not take advantage of the Panthers. New England will be able to run and throw so if the defense shows up the Pats will have any easy time of it. |

The Jets must win to get in - but that incentive hasn't
been enough lately. The Raiders are really struggling and now need help
to get a first round bye. The Jets play close games and the Raiders
are playing bad games. This one will come down to the wire so take the
points.

Last week the Steelers took the second half of the
game off and blew a huge lead. The Raiders did them a favor and handed
them the #1 seed anyway. So what can we expect from a team who has already
wrapped up all there is to wrap up? When you're coached by Bill Cowher
and you blew a 13 point 4th quarter lead you'll play a strong game,
at least you better. But should we lay 7 with a team tempted to rest
some players? The problem is we'll never know who and if the coaches
rest anybody until game time. A good game to layoff quite frankly. I
look for the Steelers to build a lead and hold it this time.

A very tricky game to handicap since these teams will
rematch in Philly to open the playoffs. Don't expect much more than
vanilla offenses from both teams. Not that the Buccs have much more
than a vanilla offense anyway. I look for a close, low scoring game.

If the Seahawks and Jets both win on Sunday the Ravens MUST win to get into the playoffs, but do we lay 10? If either NY or Seattle get beat on Sunday the Ravens are in and have no need to win this one, but do we bet on the Vikings? |
