The Giants simply haven't been playing well enough to warrant laying this many points, even against the Cardinals.

Until the Raiders show they can stop the run they are an unreliable favorite. Tomlinson should have a big game and it was when he was at his best that the Chargers were winning. The Chargers are one of the better plays of the weekend.

Don't let last week fool you, the Vikings are still a struggling football team. I look for both teams to have difficulty scoring and for the Lions to once again come close - maybe even get the win finally.

As I look back I start to wonder if it's my plan to just keep picking the Bills until they cover. It's not of course but I really think that in an AFC East game the home team plus more than a FG is a good bet.

If this game ends in a 0-0 tie, then you'll be glad you took the points. The Buccs are traditionally strong finishers and they're at it a again.

Brunell gutted out a victory a week ago on adrenaline, his injuries are likely to catch up with him this week. Last home games for the Browns, they'll be fired up.

Griese remains a question mark for this game, so I'll update once the line is posted widely. But I'm leaning towards KC coming out and playing their best game of the year and getting the win.

**Update - Ferrotte is expected start. Those of you who have been following my site for a while probably know that when a starting QB sits I have a tendency to lean towards that team as it's easy for the other team to let down facing the backup. In this case it's still the Broncos and the Chiefs will be very fired up.

Tough to recommend the Colts these days but they'll come out trying to recover from the Monday night embarrasment. With Chandler not 100% the Falcons have little attack left in them. The over is really the best play in this game as the Colts can't stop anybody.

Tough to recommend the Bengals no matter who's at QB, but I think if Kitna sits and Smith starts this game becomes a good value on two fronts. First of all, Smith has an arm and although they won't come out bombing he has the chance to put up some points. I'll also like the points with Kitna as the Jets can easily over look this game particularly if the backup QB goes. Check back I'll update.

***Update - It looks like Kitna is out and Akili Smith gets the start. Look for a NY Jets let down and take the points.

Hassleback isn't progressing as Holmgrem has hoped, in fact he seems to have regressed a bit lately. The Cowboys are playing decent football and should have the fight to stay in this one.

Honestly I was hoping this line would be a bit bigger as the Packers could let down going out of conference. But they are simply playing to well to not lay only two and a half.

This pick is simple, the game will be close - a battle to the end so take the points. I think the Ravens will find a way to win but I can't lay 3 with these two teams.

There are not many teams that have the right personel to beat the Rams, the Saints are one of them. And not just because they've already done it. They matchup well against the mighty Rams. I'm not sure they can pull off another upset, but when the Saints are on their game they can certainly keep within six.
