Simply can't get behind the Buccs until they
show they want to win. They were embarrased in primetime by
an average team last week and "being desperate" can
only be motivation for so long. Granted, the Vikings could be
vunerable here to a loss, but still no reason to go against
Culpepper getting points.

Lions confidence growing, tough spot on the
road, but have the weapons with Stewart running well to stay
close.

Dolphins a solid team at home and should have
some confidence on offense, and a bitter taste in their mouths
after Monday night. Expect the defense to bounce back in this
one and be very solid. But if time heals all wounds the Packers
could be dangerous if Favre and Levens are both finally healthy.
Tread carefully, but I do like the fish in this one.

Should be a great battle in the AFC East,

Pittsburgh (+4.5)(33) at Baltimore

Steelers certainly doing well lately, but
step to another level here, the Ravens defense will be too much
for Pittsburgh. Banks wasn't the problem in Baltimore but a
change could energize this team enough. Hesitant to lay more
than a FG with Baltimore, but this should be the week they find
the endzone.

Carolina (-3.5)(45.5) at Atlanta

Panthers looked great last week (how come
they only play like that against the Niners?). Atlanta is playing
better, but still losing. That trend should be reversed, Falcons
too close lately to turn down the points.

Who cares? Easy under play here, Bengals scored
all their points last week. But I'll go with the team off a
huge winning having boosted confindence.

Don't underestimate the Rams with Green at
the helm, they'll be just fine. Do worry about Marshall Faulk
not being 100%, they won't be fine. If Faulk plays, he could
get pulled if the Rams take a big lead and SF could sneak close
late. I think the line is wrongly low for Green in the lineup,
not afraid to lay the seven here as the Rams will bounce back.
And certainly the over is easy money.

Philadelphia (+3.5)(37) at NY Giants

Tough to call here, the Eagles up and down
not unlike the Giants. I look for a close game, in which case
the FG+ is looking good.

New Orleans (-6)(41) at Arizona

Don't look now but the Saints have played
themselves into the talk about a wildcard spot. They've won
3 in a row (covering all 3) and have the leagues number 1 defense.
And how bad are the Cardinals? Six point dogs at home to the
Saints??? My how things change. But even getting the six and
the possiblity of some optimism with a new head coach I can't
back the Cards. Saints run well, and the Cards can't stop the
run.

Jacksonville (+3.5) (44.5) at Dallas

Which Dallas team will show up? Perhaps desperate
to save their season the Cowboys played their best game in a
while last week. Meanwhile, the Jags just can't get it going.
Jags playing to poorly to go with and Cowboys looked too strong
last week to go against.

Kansas City (-4) (43) at Seattle

The Seahawks have 2 lousy QB's and both are
hurt. The Chiefs confidence should be very high, and with Grbac
looking to be healthy KC should have little trouble in this
one.

Lots of reasons to like the Raiders here,
mainly that they're a good football team and the Chargers are
lousy. However, it's a divisional game, the Chargers had a week
off and will get a win eventually.

Tennessee (+3.0)(37.5) at Washington

Eddie George will be a game time decission
most likely. With George the Titans might have enough to stay
with the Redskins. Without him they certainly don't. If George
sits the paly is Washington all the way. If Eddie George does
start, it could be a close game. Either way we'll have to see
what the line is set at. I'll update if more information is
available prior to kickoff.
