San Francisco (+7)(48.5) at Denver

Denver has the advantage of not knowing what the Raiders have done, they just need to take care of business and hope. Griese should return to the lineup but will be rusty. The 49ers are playing well as late and improved on defense, so we'll go under despite some strong trends to over. And I'll look for this game to be closer than the number. Take the points

Meaningless game on the field, but easy money at the books!

Probably best not to waste any money on this game, but since I pick football games I'll take the Redskins because the Cardinals are just really, really bad.

St. Louis (-3.5)(56) at New Orleans

Huge game to say the least, hard to believe the Saints have a shot at home-field with a win and that the Rams need help to make the playoffs. Rams much better with Warner at will benefit from familiar indoors and carpet. Should be a close one and tempting to take and look for FG to decide it, but in a big pressure game I'll take the experience and more desperate team.

Miami (-4) (34.5) at New England

Certainly this game means more to Miami but look for New England to come out with a big effort. Like the points in an AFC East battle.

Kansas City (-4)(40.5) at Atlanta

Not many teams having too much trouble with the Falcons this year, Chiefs off a big win look to finish strong.

Chicago (+10)(37) at Detroit

Maybe too many points to lay with the Lions this year, but this game is everything for the Lions, and the Bears have looked they were done with the season for the last few weeks. Lay the points with the home team.

NY Jets (+5.5)(34.5) at Baltimore

Surprisingly the Jets are still very much in the playoff hunt, but the Ravens are the far superior team here and should have little trouble with this one. And always expect a low scoring game with the Ravens.

Cincinnati (+11)(35) at Philadelphia

Really not much to play for the Eagles, they can't affect their playoff situation, they're in and have to wait for everything to fall into place around them. But after a week off they'll use this to get ready and should be at their best and everybody's best is better than the Bengals.

Pittsburgh (-3)(37.5) at SanDiego

Steelers surprisingly strong on the road this year and have to favor any team against the Chargers. But psychology could decide this game. The Steelers must win to have a shot at the playoffs, but need help including in an early game. If the Jets win the Steelers are out and I'd take the points in this one, although would advise not betting it after a Jet win. However, if the Jets lose the Steelers are alive and are a very solid play laying just three points.

If Jets win, slight preference for SD, but prefer to pass.

Minnesota (+6)(51.5) at Indianapolis

Indianapolis Colts -6

Carolina (+8.5)(45) at Oakland

Another game where early results could change the energy of the Raiders. And another good reason to be on the mailing list. Clearly the Raiders should win this game but 8.5 may be too much to ask if the Broncos and/or Dolphins have lost. Since a Bronco loss seems unlikely I'll take the Raiders for now, but get on the mailing list to the first to know if this changes.

Oakland Raiders -8.5

Dallas (+13.5) (37.5) at Tennessee

Titans only 6-9 ATS this year, but looked very impressive on D in the last two and they'll be facing a young QB making his first road start. Certainly the Titans should have little trouble, but of course this one changes depending on Baltimore. If the Ravens lose the Titans have home field advantage for the playoffs and much less incentive in this one. However in the more likely event of a Ravens win this game means a lot to the Titans.
