College Football Picks Week 3

Ball State Cardinals		Army Black Knights

Army flexing muscles on defense and always presents a tough to stop running game. Ball State really struggling on both sides of the ball early in the season.

Northern Illinois Huskies		Purdue Boilermakers

In general, we're not impressed with the Big 10 but this appears to be a mismatch at too many spots not to expect a big win for the Boilermakers.

Boston College Eagles		Clemson Tigers

Things get much tougher for BC and although changes looked good early in the season a bigger challenge will show cracks in new systems.

Indiana Hoosiers		Akron Zips

Impressed with Zips playing up in recent years but this year we've seen too many problems on defense while Indiana much improved.

Southern California Trojans		Washington Huskies

USC QB questions have hurt the line value here a bit but still must recognize let down spot for USC, overlook possibility for USC and improving Washington D to catch USC who often fails to cover big lines in Pac-10 openers.

Kansas State Wildcats		UCLA Bruins

Both teams really struggling on offense but UCLA not struggling on D which makes them the much better team.

Ohio State Buckeyes		Toledo Rockets

Possible flat spot for Buckeyes off a HUGE game and tough loss. Toledo puts everything into beating the big boys who come into their house.

Southern Methodist Mustangs		Washington State Cougars

SMU historic struggles on the road keeps the line value solid in this one. Wash St got torn up by average Hawaii offense last week - not sure they learned enough to face similar offense this week.

Nevada Wolf Pak		Colorado State Rams

Wolfpack has the weapons to take advantage of struggling Colorado State team.

California Golden Bears		Minnesota Golden Gophers

Impressed with offense of Cal and don't believe the Golden Gophers have the depth on D to slow them down.

Rice Owls		Oklahoma State Cowboys

Expect a big bounce back and some frustrations to be taken out for the Cowboys in this mismatch!

Iowa State Cyclones		Kent State Golden Flashes

Have seen nothing from Iowa State to make us believe they can win on the road.
