Nevada at Missouri

Early look had us considering MU as a power play but head coach Pinkel does not like to put up 50 plus and does not like to run the score up.  Little doubt MU gets close to 50 but concerns that Nevada can close the back door as he puts in back ups.  Still MU the clearly dominant team more than capable of hammering the smaller Wolfpack.

Rice at Vanderbilt

Impressed by start for Vandy with impressive wins and although better than previous editions we aren't entirely convinced this is all that strong of a football team ready to cover a TD at home.  Let down also possible and that's a mistake against an experience Rice team.

UCLA at BYU

Bruins have some injuries, but they also have athletes and some extra time to get ready.  Certainly like what we've seen from BYU and would love them to spoil the BCS party this year, but reality may be different here.  This game stays close. UCLA has covered 11 straight as a dog!

Georgia at South Carolina

Certainly impressed with Georgia and perhaps South Carolina hasn't been as solid early as we expected but still expect the Gamecocks to provide significant test for UGA with their defense.  In what is very likely another low scoring game the points look too tempting here for a home dog.

North Carolina State at Clemson

Very impressed by Clemson and absolutely the more talented team.  Line a bit pricey for a power play and some concern against fiesty NC State defensive line but don't believe NC State can put up many points at all and Clemson has weapons to throw the ball with great success.

Stanford at TCU

Hurricane Ike could be on the mind of TCU players, which is a cause for concern.  But TCU the superior team in this one and although Stanford better and has impressed they aren't ready for this road game.

UL-Lafayette at Illinois

Not much to like with the Illini defense but not convinced that the Ragin Cajuns (love that nickname!) have enough to take advantage and keep up with this impressive Illinois offense.
