Sorry, this is not another mock draft. Don’t worry, there are about 4 million or so on the web you can look at. I suppose by pure mathematics with so many out there one of these mock drafts might actually be pretty close to accurate. One of many problems is trades. The mock drafts can’t anticipate trades and trades do and will happen. Less at the top in recent years but teams will move picks and teams will move players on draft weekend.

Here’s what I know about the draft. And as much as I love the NFL and will enjoy finally knowing who goes where I couldn’t care much less about the hype. All the talk, the endless talk. The endless anticipation. It’s too much. It’s just not for me. For several reasons, but one of the biggest is that all the talk is just that, talk. Nobody knows what teams are going to do. Nobody. Even the teams don’t know until the final seconds sometimes.
So….here’s what I know:
* There will be a bust picked in the Top 10, probably more than 1. In fact it’s entirely possible there will be more busts in the Top 10 than stars. And if you think in terms of Round 1 that becomes even more likely.
* Most fans will be disappointed with who their team drafts.
* There will be at least one Pro Bowl player selected in the 2nd Round, probably 2 or 3.
* There will be at least on Pro Bowl player selected in the 3rd Round or later, probably 2 or 3.
* There is a good chance that the 1st player taken at any given position will not end up being the best rookie player at that position next year.

Last and most importantly…..after the draft is finally over it is only 137 days until the first regular season NFL game!
